Introducing Virginia Way Remodel: From Traditional to Timeless

At LS Design Studio, we believe your home should be a true reflection of who you are — beautiful, functional, and rooted in ease. Our latest project, Virginia Way Remodel, brings that philosophy to life in the most elevated way.

Before: A Space Full of Potential

When our client first invited us into her kitchen, it was clear the space had strong bones — but the overall feel was dark, heavy, and dated. With rich wood cabinetry, traditional finishes, and an enclosed layout, it didn’t reflect her vision for a brighter, softer, and more timeless home. She wanted a space that felt fresh and feminine, but still grounded — a kitchen made for real life, and beautiful enough to host in.

After: Light, Elegant, and Timeless

The transformation is nothing short of dramatic. We lightened the entire palette with custom millwork in soft, creamy tones, replaced bulky elements with clean, elegant lines, and layered in natural textures for depth and interest.

Key features of the new design:

  • A reimagined kitchen island with honed stone countertops and cane-back stools — both functional and design-forward.

  • A cozy built-in banquette in the breakfast nook, perfect for slow mornings and casual meals.

  • Streamlined custom cabinetry and tailored hardware that nod to classic style with a modern twist.

  • Thoughtful lighting selections — from a statement chandelier to subtle sconces — to bring softness and balance to the room.

  • Darker, rich hardwood floors that creates contrast and anchors the space.

The kitchen now feels bright, calm, and beautifully lived-in — an open invitation to cook, gather, and simply be.

Designed for Function

This remodel was about more than just aesthetics — it was about aligning the space with the way our client lives and feels in her home. Every detail was chosen with her lifestyle in mind: easy mornings, casual dinners, hosting friends, or having a quiet coffee at the table.

It’s now a space that’s undeniably hers — timeless, welcoming, and elevated in every way.

We’re so honored to have helped bring her vision to life.
