Nestled in Carlsbad, California, this adorable ADU was crafted to balance simplicity with character — giving guests a private escape that’s both comfortable and stylish.
When approaching small spaces like a guest house, every inch counts. Our team took care to design a layout that feels open and bright without compromising on function. The living area welcomes visitors with layered textures and furnishings scaled just right for the space, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere from the moment someone steps inside. Smart selections — including multi-purpose furniture and well-considered lighting — help the space feel both cozy and purposeful.
The bedroom of the Carlsbad Guest House was a chance to infuse personality while maintaining a soothing retreat for overnight stays. We wrapped the space in calming green tones and introduced a subtle patterned ceiling wallpaper that elevates the design without overwhelming it. This thoughtful layering of color and detail turns the sleeping quarters into a restful haven — proving that even smaller rooms can have big impact.
